Join Us on FRAC’S Quest for School Breakfast
The research is clear – kids learn better when they’re not hungry. That’s one of the basic principles behind serving breakfast at school. Being able to grab breakfast before classes start is a boon for kids who didn’t have time to eat at home, and for families whose food budgets are increasingly stressed by rising food prices. Teachers report that students are more attentive and less fidgety when their bellies are full. But this year, school breakfasts are endangered by the funding cuts and changes to SNAP and other nutrition programs in the federal budget bill passed by Congress in July.

Join us this week for daily posts and calls to action as we complete the Quest for School Breakfast. Together, we can take another step toward creating a hunger-free community.
